Terms of Service

These terms cover the current pre-launch phase only: using this website and joining our waitlist. The Katalog app does not yet exist, so accounts, content uploads, affiliate features, and payments are not covered here. When the app launches we will publish expanded terms with a new effective date.

1. Who we are / what these terms cover

This site is operated by [LEGAL NAME / COMPANY] ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site or joining the waitlist you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or sign up for the waitlist.

2. The pre-launch service

Right now, Katalog consists of a landing page and a waitlist sign-up. There is no app, no user account, no paid service, and no live product yet. Any descriptions of features, screens, or workflows on this site reflect our current plans and may change before launch.

3. The waitlist

You join the waitlist by submitting your email address (and, optionally, your first name) and confirming via the confirmation email we send you (double opt-in). Joining the waitlist:

• does not create a contract for any service, paid or otherwise;
• does not guarantee access to the Katalog app at launch;
• does not guarantee a specific launch date or particular features;
• does not grant any pre-launch entitlements.

You can leave the waitlist at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by emailing us at info@getkatalog.com. For information on how we handle the data you submit, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

When using this site, you agree not to:

• submit false or misleading information, or someone else's personal data without their permission;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its server, or any password-protected area;
• disrupt or interfere with the site — for example by distributing malware, scraping content with automated tools, or overloading the service;
• use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.

5. Demonstration content

The sample products, brands, reviews, names, statistics, prices, and images shown on this site are fictional or used for demonstration purposes only. Unless explicitly stated, they do not represent real products, real reviews, real partnerships, or endorsements. They illustrate how the future Katalog app is intended to look and behave.

6. Intellectual property

The site itself, the "Katalog" name and logo, and the text, design, layout, illustrations, and code shown here are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the site without our prior written permission, except where mandatory law expressly permits otherwise (for example, for private use).

7. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We also make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any pre-launch information shown — features, designs, copy, and timing may change without notice.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This means our liability remains unrestricted in particular for:

• damages caused by intent or gross negligence on our part;
• injury to life, body, or health;
• any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law (including, where applicable, claims under the German Product Liability Act / Produkthaftungsgesetz).

Subject to the above and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

9. Changes to the service and terms

Because Katalog is still under development, we may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the site at any time without notice. We may also update these terms as the project evolves. When the Katalog app launches, we will publish expanded terms covering the app, user accounts, content, affiliate and review features, and payments, with a new effective date shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
